PRETTY PAPER PRETTY RIBBONS GUEST DESIGNER

Good Morning Friends! Excited it's Friday? I'm a little groggy today as this was not one of my normal pre-posted projects!! So my deadline of 5 am is swiftly approaching!!  It is 4:24 am - TALK about getting in under the wire! Starbucks opens in ONE HOUR - START COUNT DOWN!

It's not that my project hasn't been done, but there is SO MUCH more that I have in mind to use with this Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons file that I just wasn't realistic about all I could get done!! Hmmmmm Sound like a lot of us maybe?

What I get to share with you today was another really fun project for my kiddo. Mason was able to help me the "painting" (Actually spraying, of this bag, and he had THE best time!) I do suggest stripping your little one down to their diapers tho! It was messy as is any 3 year old activity!!

Grab your Bag
I used this bag from 3 Girl JAM - it is only 3.00 - snag the 14x18 backpack
An old sheet or lots of newspaper
to catch the spray
A Spritzer
Pick these up in your local stores travel size toiletries section - they are WAY less expensive here than in your crafting store!
Fabric Paint
I used Tulip Fabric Paint - diluted 3/4 water and 1/4 Fabric paint

Go outside and go to town spraying your bag! Its fun for you and the kiddos! Let dry at least 48 hours.

We used the Cutting File from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons Store "Superheros" Let me tell you, my kiddo is in LOVE with this file! I had to print them all out the first night onto card stock and he slept with Captain America! No joke, this Momma wasn't getting any sleep that night if he didn't have his MIGHTY Captain America with him! ;)

Aren't they SO CUTE!?

I printed off the Captain America Jpeg onto Avery Printable Iron on Transfer. One thing I will mention is I had NO IDEA that the WHITE would not transfer over. All of the white ended up clear and the Blue Fabric Paint is seeping through heavily. I will be looking into different Transfers for this reason. If you have any suggestions send them my way!

Hand cut around the image
place onto your bag image side down
Use and old (clean) kitchen towel to cover the Iron On and Iron
Let completely cool before peeling away backing

For the Letters I used my Imagine and printed them in black
REMEMBER: FLIP LETTERS! lol I have a note sticking to my image with these words and you still wouldn't believe HOW many times I have to re-print anything with words on it because I forgot to flip the image!

And that's IT! Now my little bug has a bag that he puts all of his Mighty Heros in to take to Grandmas and Grandpas! Of course he also just puts in on and runs around the house with it too ;)

I have so many projects I will be doing with this file for my kiddos room, and actually plan to redo his room in this theme! I can't wait to share them as I get them completed! I will be making over:

Curtains
Pillow Cases
His Craft Table & Chairs
Making a Personalized Story Book with Might Captain Mason

Think of all of the ways this file can be used! for your little one!

I absolutely love the cutting files, printable papers, and stamp images from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. The Designer, Lisa Norris is incredibly talented! I hope that you will check her out!

DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE CUTTING FILES??

If you don't have a cutting machine like the silhouette or software that work on your Electronic Die cutting machine (IE - Cricut Expression, Pazzles, etc) believe it or not you can STILL use these files! While I have a cameo, I did not use it for this project. Here are a few alternatives to use Cutting files without the Cameo:

Use the Jpeg image provided on most Files (Read the description first to make sure what you are purchasing comes with one!)

Print on Cardstock or Iron on transfer as I did here

Handcut around image: As I did here

Use a Die and your Big Shot or other handcranked Die Machine to cut around image and use on your project as you do any other Die!

Its super easy!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND YA'LL!!

Hello All! I am Very thrilled to be participating in this hop with my sweet and talented friend Miranda! I jumped at the chance! At the last stop along the Hop today, you will get the chance to visit the Birthday Girls blog, so I hope you will give her a BIG HAPPY 65th BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT!!

You should have arrived from Teresa's Blog, or if you are just joining the hop, please jump on over to Miranda's Blog to join in all of the fun and giveaways! Our lovely host Miranda is giving away a Michaels or JoAnns Gift Card {WINNERS CHOICE} to one lucky hopper! Mary from Cardz TV with Mary is sponsoring our fun hop and giving away TWO stamp sets! Make sure to LIKE Cardz TV Stamps on Facebook and give Mary a big Shout from the Surprise Birthday Bash for Mary Ann!

Here is my Project! I used a Unity Image stamp and a

Unity Sentiment!

Miranda described her Mom's hobbies and interests and some of the things that stood out to me was that Mary Ann gives selflessly, and was always a Mother, before anything else! ;) Mary Ann also is a florist and loves flowers and gardening! So this Stamp from unity Stamp Co is simply a perfect fit for Mary Ann! I love the sentiment too! Although it isn't the traditional Birthday card, I think it is just perfect for Mary Ann ;)

This adorable Seam Binding is from Paper Sweeties
The Button is Tim Holtz and I used Corrugated Kraft Cardstock and Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens to ink the image stamp. I love the way the image turned out!

I simply added a little stitching at the top  and that completed this card!

Next on the hop is the lovely and talented Shelley!

Should you get lost along the way, here is the entire

 line up: HAPPY HOPPING!

Saturday

Pink by Design and Close to My Heart

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Saturday Morning all!

I made this card about a month ago and have been dying to share it, but there has been so much going on lately that I haven't been able to post it until today!

This paper is from the Dream Pop Paper set from CTMH! Isn't it adorable! I LOVE the embossing on the papers!

Although this set is no longer available you can purchase your CTMH Products check out Elizabeth Mindemann - CTMH Consultant!

And be sure to check out her Facebook Page for an unending supply of CTMH Inspiration!!

I made a Gatefold Card out of White Cardstock

For the Stamps, I used the Pink by Design "Save the Tata's" and "Breast Wishes"

I just LOVE the way you can choose to either piece these images together, or stamp them all on the same piece of paper! I chose to do some paper piecing and to stamp the Lingerie onto a patterned piece of cardstock from the CTMH Dream Pop Kit!

I used American Crafts Twine to tie off the card when Closed and that's a wrap!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you love this card as much as I do! I really love the way it turned out!

Birthday Coordinates - Altered Gift Bag, Card and Frame

I am so excited to announce that I was selected to be the Sweet Altered Artist for the Sweet Stamp Shop! If you haven't stopped in the store yet, there are some AMAZING stamps sets that I just can't WAIT to show you my projects with them!

The Sweet Stamp Shop has 3 New Sets to fill your Sweet Tooth Cravings!

Spin
Admit One
Wheelie Like You

All righty! So here is what I came up with for the two sets I got to play with!

I created a Coordinate Set for a Birthday Bash! Complete with an altered Gift Bag, Mini Card, and the Gift {Altered Frame}

This Set is from the Admit One Stamp Set

I absolutely adore the way this set turned out!

I used the Basic Grey line, Shine On for the papers and embellishments, and did a lot of paper piecing to add layers, color and texture to the stamped images.

I used both the Spin and Admit One sets on the Bag - The Arrow pointing to the Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the RELEASED TODAY Spin Set and is oh so cute!!

The Balloon image is so fun for Paper Piecing to get the different patterns onto the balloons!

First, Stamp the image onto your background. Then stamp your image onto coordinating pieces of paper as many times as your piece calls for. Here, I needed 3 balloons so I stamped 3 different sheets of paper.

Hand Cut around the images carefully I knew that I would also be using these on the frame, so I took great care to cut them carefully to ensure that I could use all of the pieces!

Always try to think "Outside the Box" errr frame in this case! See how my balloons edge off of the frame a bit? I simply stamped the background stamp with the stamp hanging off the frame a little. Build up your layers with Pop Dots for dimension and you have a perfect Paper Pieced Project!

Do you like to alter or upcycle? Do you have any $ saving ideas for us?!

Altered Photo Bag - 3 Girl JAM Guest Designer!

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE!!

Thank you so much for stopping in for another FUN FILLED project! I am incredibly excited to be sharing this project as a Guest Designer for 3 Girl JAM today! These bags are SUPER FUN to work with! I sure hope you will get one and give this a try!

If you missed my first two projects featuring 3 Girl JAM Products, I hope you will take the time to stop by and let me know what you think!

Week one; 3 Girl JAM Post
Week two; 3 Girl JAM Post

I used Tulip Fabric Paint, and Diluted it about 1/3 paint, and 2/3 water, and put it in a Spray Bottle, and went to town!!

I took an old torn sheet outside and spray until I had the color I wanted.

I distressed the bag with brown inks. Crinkle your Bag so you have a textured look when finished.

Using Circle Punches and Hot Glue, I made different size rosettes in the Merlot, London Fog, and Antique White 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon! These Colors are beautiful!!

I used a CD Binder Insert and hand stitched it to the bag.

Using my Unity Stamps and Stayzon ink in Timber Brown, I stamp a variety of my favorite images and sentiments to the bag.

I grabbed a modge podge of my favorite embellishments and just started placing them around the "frame" (CD Insert)

I used an assortment of Buttons from 3 Girl JAM,
The Rosettes I made from the London Fog, Merlot, and Antique White Crinkle Ribbon
and of course this incredible bag form 3 Girl JAM!!

And this is how it turned out!!

Kind've cool huh!!?
